    We're one week away from Round 1 of the 2024 NFL draft, so predictions, hypotheticals and analysis are at a fever pitch.

    With that in mind, let's summarize the worst-case scenarios for each team in quick-hitter fashion.

    Here is one draft nightmare for each NFL team.

AFC East

    Buffalo Bills: The Jets wind up with Rome Odunze or Malik Nabers, either of whom could work with Aaron Rodgers to boost the team's odds of dethroning the Bills in the AFC East.

    Miami Dolphins: The Jets wind up with Odunze or Nabers, either of whom could work with Rodgers to boost the team's odds of challenging Buffalo and Miami in the AFC East.

    New England Patriots: Choosing the wrong quarterback or trading away a pick that is used on the right one.

    New York Jets: When they're on the clock at the No. 10 spot, Odunze, Nabers, Brock Bowers, Joe Alt and Olumuyiwa Fashanu are all off the board.

AFC North

    Baltimore Ravens: A major first-round run on offensive linemen.

    Cincinnati Bengals: When they're on the clock in the No. 18 spot, primo offensive linemen Fashanu, JC Latham, Troy Fautanu and Taliese Fuaga are all gone.

    Cleveland Browns: The Ravens and Bengals both land steals along the offensive line while the Browns watch Round 1 from the sideline.

    Pittsburgh Steelers: When they're on the clock in the No. 20 spot, primo offensive linemen Fashanu, Latham, Fautanu, Fuaga, Amarius Mims and Jackson Powers-Johnson are all gone.

AFC South

    Houston Texans: An elite pass-catcher like Odunze, Nabers or Bowers drops to the Colts and/or an elite corner like Terrion Arnold or Quinyon Mitchell falls to the Jaguars, all while Houston watches Round 1 from the sideline.

    Indianapolis Colts: When they're on the clock in the No. 15 spot, Mitchell, Arnold, Kool-Aid McKinstry, Bowers and Brian Thomas Jr. are all gone.

    Jacksonville Jaguars: When they're on the clock in the No. 17 spot, Mitchell, Arnold and McKinstry are all off the board.

    Tennessee Titans: Alt and Fashanu are drafted before they're on the board with the No. 7 selection.

AFC West

    Denver Broncos: Before they're on the board, six of the first 11 picks are used on Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy, Bo Nix and Michael Penix Jr.

    Kansas City Chiefs: The Raiders and Broncos both land high-potential quarterbacks in Round 1, immediately making life a lot more difficult in this division.

    Las Vegas Raiders: Before they're on the board at 13, 10 of the first 12 picks are used on the six quarterbacks listed above, as well as Alt, Fashanu, Mitchell and Arnold.

    Los Angeles Chargers: Marvin Harrison Jr., Odunze and Nabers are all selected in the top four (admittedly, we had to reach a lot here).

NFC East

    Dallas Cowboys: Washington takes the right quarterback second overall, and he lights up the division out of the gate.

    New York Giants: Harrison, Odunze and Nabers are all chosen in the top five, forcing them to consider a QB with several candidates available for them to make the wrong choice with.

    Philadelphia Eagles: Washington takes the right quarterback second overall, and he lights up the division out of the gate.

    Washington Commanders: Choosing the wrong quarterback, or trading away a pick that is used on the right one.

NFC North

    Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams becomes a bust.

    Detroit Lions: Williams makes the Bears an immediate divisional challenger, and the Vikings also land a primo quarterback.

    Green Bay Packers: Williams makes the Bears an immediate divisional challenger, and the Vikings also land a primo quarterback.

    Minnesota Vikings: Six quarterbacks are taken with the top 10 picks for the first time in history, but the Vikings don't trade up for one of them.

NFC South

    Atlanta Falcons: They've got options, so the only potential nightmare is the unlikely event that Dallas Turner, Jared Verse, Mitchell and Arnold are all top-seven picks.

    Carolina Panthers: They are forced to watch as Turner lands in Atlanta, Alt lands in New Orleans and the Bucs get a steal late in Round 1.

    New Orleans Saints: When they're on the board in the No. 14 spot, Alt, Fashanu, Latham, Fautanu and Fuaga are all gone.

    Tampa Bay Buccaneers: No primo prospects drop to them at No. 26, but the Falcons and Saints land the best-case scenarios in Turner and Alt at Nos. 8 and 14, respectively.

NFC West

    Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr. becomes a top-three pick.

    Los Angeles Rams: Every primo defender—Turner, Verse, Mitchell, Arnold, McKinstry, Laiatu Latu, Chop Robinson and Byron Murphy II—is off the board when they are on the clock with the 19th pick.

    San Francisco 49ers: Harrison to the Cards, a primo defender to the Rams, an NFL-ready steal for the Seahawks at 16 while nobody with top-25 value slides to them at No. 31.

    Seattle Seahawks: The top offensive linemen and edge defenders—Alt, Fashanu, Latham, Fautanu and Fuaga, plus Turner, Verse and Latu—are all off the board before the No. 16 pick.
